LESSONS FROM THE QUEEN OF SHEBA (Continued)

Scripture Reading:  I Kings 10:4-5  And when the queen of Sheba had seen all Solomon's wisdom, and the house that he had built,

And the meat of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparel, and his cupbearers, and his ascent by which he went up unto the house of the LORD; there was no more spirit in her.

Lastly, the queen saw Solomon’s "ascent by which he went up unto the house of the LORD."  After seeing all, there was no more spirit in her.  This means that she was forever changed after meeting with Solomon, getting all her questions answered, and seeing a representation of God’s kingdom in operation in the earth.  Every believer could have her same experience spiritually if churches would operate in the will of God and be led by His Spirit.

The Hebrew word for acsent means the whole burnt offering.  The way unto the house of the Lord is always up!   In the Old Testament, Leviticus Chapter One, the burnt offering represented an atoning sacrifice for sin.  It was a shadow of Jesus Christ our Passover.  In the New Testament one finds that ascension life in Christ.  Meditate on the following verses:

Hebrews 10:4- 10  For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.  Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;  Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.  By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
