TO THE OPEN HEART

Scripture Readings
“For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:” (Romans 1:20).
“Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,” (Jude 24).
“But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof.” (Romans 13:14)
“But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6)
“Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.” (Zechariah 4:6).

The greatest need in this hour is for the Body of Christ to have spiritual understanding of what is already true of us in Christ Jesus our Lord.  With the inundation of self-effort under the pretense of the Anointing, and the sharp focus on the acquisition of material or worldly things, the deficit of our spiritual understanding is pronounced.  The true Ekklesia or “called out ones,” know fully that our true inheritance is in the Person and Work of Jesus Christ and teaching priests are beginning to stand up everywhere in spiritual Israel (the Church) and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the power of His resurrection.

As long as man is given place in the things of God, it is impossible for resurrection life to accomplish its great work in us.  Man must realize his total demise through the Cross of Christ.  Resurrection life can only minister when a death has taken place. The effort of man is the arm of flesh.  Flesh cannot receive spiritual things.  Through the weakness of flesh excuses abound.  Stated another way, the Body is ever learning and never coming into the knowledge of the Truth.  Excuses keep us revisiting a powerless fallen nature and posture that is at enmity with God.  At best,  a powerless mixture of spiritual truths and carnality has been constantly paraded before God’s people.  The real enemy (carnality) is closer than we think and is often found within ourselves.

We have been crucified with Christ (Galatians 2;20; 6:14); we died with Him (Colossians 3:3; Romans 6:8); and we were buried with Him (Romans 6:4). The half that was not told is that we were also quickened or made alive with Him (Colossians 2:13); we were raised with Him (Colossians 3:1); and we are seated with Him in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6).   Hearing ears have already grasped the fact that every act was “with Him.”   The only thing that is left to do is accept what is true of us and believe it with our whole heart.  God has fulfilled His plan of redemption through Christ.  The work is finished and the rest (as in ceasing from our own works) is now up to us.   Hence, as the Lord’s Body, we are without excuse in expressing His nature to a lost world through the power of the Holy Spirit.
