THE SINGLE PREPOSITIONTHAT CHANGED MY LIFE FOREVER
(Continued)
But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by His grace, To reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood: Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus. _ Galatians 1:15-17.
The Apostle Paul must have been indelibly impressed with the wonderful deliverance at Ananias’ house. Ananias means grace. It was at "grace’s house" that he learned that God’s unmerited favor was available to aid instead of accuse. His eyes came open by the Spirit, and the Divine Transaction of the Cross began to work in him. He discerned that we were actually crucified with Christ yet lived (Romans 6:6; Galatians 2:20; Galatians 6:14). Only now, we are no longer living, but Christ now lives in us! He understood that we died with Christ, and the old man with his corrupt nature was buried with Him (Romans 6:4,8; Colossians 3:3). When reminded of his dialog with the Divine Light and Its Voice on the road to Damascus, he engaged his new ability to fathom the result of the quickening Power of God and the State of His new creation after the Spirit and boldly declared that we were quickened together with Christ (Ephesians 2:5; Colossians 2:13). One holy conversation with the Resurrected Christ, and he was snatched away to a whole new realm of life in the Spirit.
