NAAMAN’S RECOVERY (Continued)

Scripture Reading:  II Kings Chapter 5

And he returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and came, and stood before him: and he said, Behold, now I know that [there is] no God in all the earth, but in Israel: now therefore, I pray thee, take a blessing of thy servant. _ 2 Kings 5:15

Earlier Naaman had expected that Elisha should have stood before him and all his company.  Now he has the correct approach!  What Elisha speaks to spiritually as Israel’s Prophet is a type of Christ Jesus’s ministry in resurrection power.  In other words, He does not stand before us, but rather, we stand before Him!

Naaman’s heart was to bless the prophet of God.  Elisha further represents the love of God and His saving grace for which there is no fee.  Elisha refused reward.  This grace knows that it is more blessed to give than to receive.  This grace has all sufficiency in Christ.  There is an eternal government of spiritual perfection wrought within this grace, and it becomes replenished immediately as it blesses.
