CHRIST OUR PASSOVER (Continued)

Scripture Reading:  Exodus 12: 7-9
And they shall eat the flesh in that night roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.
Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof.
And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.

Paul told the Corinthian church in his second letter that he feared their minds would be corrupted from the simplicity in Christ.  When that happens people hear a watered down Gospel of Jesus, but it is not the Gospel Paul preached.  The mind becomes corrupted from the simplicity in Christ.  A raw or watered down Gospel fails to create an atmosphere for the Holy Ghost to unveil Christ from within us.  One will never see the completeness and power of the Finished Work of Christ with a raw and soddened Gospel.  Paul was also concerned that if they heard another Gospel about another Jesus, they would take on another spirit.  That is so prevalent today as we see the spirit of lust and many others being manifested as the direct result of a false Gospel.  Once truly apprehended by Jesus Christ, all the other things that man lusts for will lose their relevancy in our lives.

Many times messages are totally carnal and seasoned sparingly with the Name of Jesus.  That mixture of the water of the Word and dust of carnality makes a clouded, murky drink for God’s people, and it will never bring the Kingdom of our God and His Christ into the lives of the people.   They will never walk in resurrection life power if they are never ministered it by the preaching of the Cross which is the power of God unto salvation (Romans 1:16).  Unfortunately, many have been so immersed in a watered down message until it has become a comfortable place for some.  The unsaved soul usurps the God-ordained place of the spirit man, and God has no real place in the lives of many of His people.  We are God’s dwelling, and we should be for Him a temple and throne to express His mind at His pleasure.  We are His inheritance and He is ours.
