"...proving that this is very Christ." _ Acts 9:22

MARCH 30th
CHRIST OUR PASSOVER (Continued)

Scripture Reading:  Exodus 12:12-14
For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment:  I am the LORD.
And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses here ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.
And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance forever.

Through the Pharoah’s response, we see the power of observing Passover.  Every time an individual comes to Jesus, this solemn feast is kept in the Spirit.  In verse 30 of the twelfth chapter of Exodus, Pharoah rose up in the night, he and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt.  What was the reason for this great commotion?  There was not a house where there was not one dead.  This fact must be constantly rehearsed in the hearing of God’s people everywhere.  Again, there was not a house where there was not one dead.  The difference for God’s people was that a lamb’s death was accounted as their death.    Again, God’s Word says there was not a house where there was not one dead.

What an awesome power will sweep the Church when we realize our old nature died on the Cross of Christ and our new life is hid with Christ in God.  A glorified and exalted Christ was quickened or made alive, raised and seated at the right hand of power.  We were quickened with Him; raised with Him; and are now seated with Him in heavenly places.  Only the enemy was destroyed!   Jesus spoiled principalities and made an open show of them.  Yes, the enemy and all his servants.  “But ye are come to mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn…”(Hebrews 12:23-24).
