"...proving that this is very Christ." _ Acts 9:22

MARCH 27th
CHRIST OUR PASSOVER (Continued)

Scripture Reading:  Exodus 12: 7-9
And they shall eat the flesh in that night roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.
Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof.
And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.

The Passover lamb had to be eaten with his head, legs and purtenance thereof.  Jesus Christ must be ministered fully.  Nothing can be left out.  To insure nothing is left out, all ministry must be Spirit-filled and Spirit-led.  Jesus said the Holy Spirit or the Comforter would lead and guide us into all truth.  Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life.  How often we see ministry done today apart from the mind of Christ.  Even so, how can we walk in the Spirit if we do not feed on the Lamb?  His legs are emphasized because He is the Way.  Isaiah said the wayfarers could be fools and not make a mistake in the Way.   The purtenance thereof lets us know without a doubt that we must eat all of Him.  The reason there are so many divisions is because people have taken the part of Him they like and set up camp around one aspect of our all-powerful God.

The lamb was eaten with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.  Leaven is the symbolic of sin.  There are countless people who have given their lives to Christ and still have sin consciousness.  “For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereto perfect.  For then would they have ceased to be offered?  Because that the worshippers once purged should have no more conscience of sins… He taketh away the first, that He may establish the second.  By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus once for all.”   (Hebrews 10:1,2,9, 10).  We must receive the Gospel with awareness of sins totally cleansed.  Shall we continue in sin that grace abound? God forbid!
