CRUCIFIED WITH CHRIST

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”_ Gal. 2:20

Paul received powerful revelation as he allowed God to work His pleasure of revealing His Son in him.  At some point Paul realized that Jesus’ death was his death also and that he was crucified together with Christ. Then there is a “nevertheless,” or something else that makes the whole thing mysterious. Although Paul realized that he was crucified with Christ, he was alive. A new life was within him indicating that the old nature had been crucified.  The mystery deepens to the one who lacks
wisdom.  Paul had a life but it was the Life of Christ in him. He was no longer his own. Going to depths impossible to explore carnally, Paul understood that he was enjoying the very Life of Christ in his flesh and that Life was powered by the very faith of the Son of God.

Christ’s death is our death and His Life is our life. He lives in us by
His Power.   “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son (John 5:11).” “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent (John 17:3).” “And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, [even] in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life (1 John 5:20).” There is a life filled with power that is so much higher in Christ our Lord.
