LESSONS FROM THE QUEEN OF SHEBA (Continued)

I Kings 10:4-5  And when the queen of Sheba had seen all Solomon's wisdom, and the house that he had built,

And the meat of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparel, and his cupbearers, and his ascent by which he went up unto the house of the LORD; there was no more spirit in her.

Consider the huge difference in hearing and coming to see.  She had heard of Solomon’s fame concerning the Name of the LORD and what she saw was a picture God’s glory in the earth resulting from the obedience of a servant.  Wisdom took on a form that she could physically see.  The result of his wisdom was so astonishing until there was no more spirit in her. The same is true for believers today because Christ has been made unto us wisdom (I Corinthians 1:30).  There is something about Christ and His kingdom that when seen will absolutely remove one’s spirit. Let us see why.

Next mentioned is the house Solomon had built.  "Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars"_Proverbs 9:1".   This queen’s origin, of Sheba, has a dual meaning of seven or oath.  Her name is unknown.  Seven speaks to spiritual perfection.  Could the Queen of Sheba (seven) have seen herself in the pillars of wisdom’s house causing there to be no more spirit in her.?  Selah. Can the reader see yourself in Christ firmly established?  The prophet Isaiah wrote, "Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the LORD: look unto the rock [whence] ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit [whence] ye are digged. _Isaiah 51:1.   Ye are God’s building._  I Corinthians 3:9.  Our origin and our name become one in Him.  There is no need to know our identity because only His matters.  Concerning the oath, Christ has taken care of that too in His obedience unto Father. "Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed [it] by an oath: _ Hebrews 6: 17."
