“For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:” (Romans 1:20).
God made His power and His glory known to man. Man’s response to God was rejection and rebellion. Thank God that His plan was settled in heaven and His Kingdom shall come and His will shall be done in earth as it is in heaven. What we must understand is that God’s complete plan was manifested in Christ. All that God desired to express has been gloriously revealed through His Son. All that Father wanted to say was expressed through Christ. The Book of Hebrews is introduced in part as follows: “God hath in these last days spoken to us by His Son Whom He has appointed as Heir of all things, by Whom also He made the worlds; Who being the brightness of His glory, and express Image of His Person, and upholding all things by the Word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.”
When we go about attempting to please God, it would be interesting to survey how much of what we are doing is Christ and is guided by His Spirit. All the guess-work is removed when we submit to the Finished Work of the Cross and allow Christ to live through us. Jesus Christ readmitted us to God’s presence and favor through His obedience unto death. Often from a spiritual perspective, many believers trespass the very examples from Scripture that we fault natural Israel for failing to obey. For example, people come to God daily but many do not believe that He Is. After salvation, they go about trying to figure all things out in their finite minds instead of putting on the mind of Christ. The work is finished and His resurrection life power is ours through faith. What doth hinder us? We are without excuse.
