PRESSING INTO THE KINGDOM (Continued)
Scripture Reading I Corinthians 15:35-45
15:46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and
afterward that which is spiritual.
15:47 The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven.
15:48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly,
such are they also that are heavenly.
15:49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
The spiritual power in these verses makes one wonder why many ministries place so much emphasis on the earthy man. Spiritual blessings in heavenly places have been tailored to the beggarly elements of this world by carnal ministry. The earthy man is at enmity with the things of God. There will never be a co-existence between the two. Jesus is the Son of the promise, not Adam. In Christ, we have the nature of the Lord of heaven.
All is ready and we can press into it at anytime. A people shall bear the image of the heavenly. We have seen enough of the image of the earthy. No matter how much attention the earthy man receives, or how he is decked out naturally, he is still earthy. If his education is earthy, he is earthy. If he ingests carnal teaching Sunday after Sunday, he will remain earthy. What glory will God get if the image of the heavenly is only seen in heaven? There will be a people in the earth who bear the image of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
